Heydon Grange boasts three full length 9-hole courses (the Essex, Cambs and Herts) which can be combined into three different 18-hole courses. The Essex has several lakes, including two on the par 3 fourth signature hole, making this a challenging front nine. The Cambs has a drivable par-4 but overall is the longest of the courses; the final hole is an intimidating long par 3 with water left, right and behind the green. The Herts course has the most elevation and some tricky out-of-bounds to contend with.
With full greens open all year round, Heydon is a very popular venue for visitors during the autumn and winter. It supports GPS-based distance measurement using the Skycaddie system.
